For more than a decade, the Times Higher Education World University Rankings have been providing young people and their families with trusted guidance to help with this decision.

The rankings grow and adapt every single year to include more countries and more universities. 

Best universities in Latin America

If you are looking to study at one of the top universities in Latin America, heading to Brazil might be your best bet, based on the results of the 2022 Times Higher Education Latin America University Rankings. The country has an impressive 67 universities in the ranking.

The 2022 ranking includes 197 institutions in 13 countries, up from 177 institutions last year.

Best universities in Asia 2022

The 2022 Asia University Rankings reveal the best colleges and universities in Asia, featuring institutions from 31 territories.

Japan leads the way with 118 universities in the ranking, while China comes second, with 97 ranked institutions. India is the third most represented country, with 71 universities.

Hong Kong and China are the most represented regions in the top 10, with three universities each.

This year marks the 94th anniversary of the Oscars, and we’ve taken a look at where the 2022 nominees went to university to prep themselves for a career in the film industry.

Although some of the talent did not attend university, choosing instead to dive straight into work, there are 130 universities, theatre schools and specialist schools from all over the world on this year’s list.

Unsurprisingly, universities and colleges in North America and the UK are well represented, but universities in Japan, Denmark, Poland, India and New Zealand also feature. 

Best historically black colleges and universities in the United States 2022

Historically black colleges and universities (HBCUs) are a unique feature of the higher education landscape in the US. They are found mostly in the Southern States.

HBCUs were established before the Civil Rights Act of 1964 to provide higher education for the African American community. This was because, before 1964, African Americans were not permitted to study in the majority of schools.
