On the Times Higher Education Student Twitter feed (@THEUniAdvice, if you aren’t already a follower), we have spells where we ask students to look after the account for a week to share their university experiences.
Recently, Huixi Yao, a fourth year student at the University of Auckland, shared her experiences of going to university in New Zealand as an international student. She tweeted about what she does in her spare time, the amazing food available in the city and how she overcame language barriers. You can read some of her tweets below.

As a commerce student, Owen G Glenn Building is possibly the building which I spend most time in. This is where I attend lectures, events, meetings, and self-study, as it is loaded with lecture theaters, study spaces, and private meeting rooms.

But luckily the people here are very lovely, they take good care of me

Instead of student halls, I chose to rent a 3-bedroom house with friends. This gives us plenty space to cook, to study, and to hangout with friends. #AucklandUniversity's city campus is located in the city center, so it's a pretty convenient location for students living in any part of #Auckland. Also, because of this location, we don't exactly have a "campus", the buildings are located separately in the city. #uniadviceweek
