The Pinnacle Foundation is an Australian organisation that supports LGBTQIA+ students with funding and mentorship to go to university.
Scholarships are awarded to students who are looking to pursue full-time degrees at public institutions of higher education in Australia.
Applicants must be either Australian citizens or permanent residents and must be aged between 18 and 27.
What support is available for LGBTQIA+ university students?
Applicants are assessed for scholarships by selection committees and state/territory committees, based on a range of criteria. These include having faced personal circumstances that might have stopped them from completing their education or faced challenges due to their sexual identity or orientation.
The scholarship amount for the first year of an undergraduate degree is valued at A$8,000 (£4,250). Returning scholars are awarded A$6,000 per academic year. Scholarships may also be awarded on a multi-year basis.
Applications for the foundation open on 1 July 2023.
