Developing paradigms in society from disease treatment orientation to hygiene and animal health demands Agribusiness skills. Therefore, excellent quality graduates are needed to manage livestock commodities from upstream to downstream. Furthermore, many job openings need Agribusiness master program graduates from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Universitas Airlangga. There is also the possibility of expanding livestock production, which is not currently covered by domestic production. Local farmers should be given more power as well. They require research products, as well as practical and effective technology. Potential research and scientific studies in Veterinary Agribusiness for national development are needed.
Because of the high demand for practitioners in the field, education quality is expected to improve, particularly for human resources produced by the Veterinary Agribusiness in Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Universitas Airlangga.
Overview
The Study Program of Veterinary Agribusiness is Indonesia's only Master's program in Veterinary Agribusiness that produces graduates who can apply their knowledge in the field of Veterinary Agribusiness.
This study program has been A-accredited since its inception and continues to be so.
Many national and international collaborations have been formed due to the Veterinary Agribusiness study program, which can provide graduates with jobs and help them advance their knowledge.
Course details
The study program of Veterinary Agribusiness is organizing a Master's academic education in veterinary agribusiness and animal husbandry based on modern learning technology, basic research, applied research, innovative policy and high quality in veterinary agribusiness and animal husbandry.
The curriculum is structured following the development of science and technology, which refers to the vision, mission, goals, and strategies of the Veterinary Agribusiness Master Study Program, Universitas Airlangga. The competency-based curriculum applied in the Veterinary Agribusiness Masters Study Program is adjusted to the need for quality human resources.
The current curriculum consists of compulsory subjects and elective subjects. The total amount of study load for four semesters is 40 credits, consisting of 36 credits of compulsory subjects and four credits of elective subjects
Entry requirements
Applicants should have a bachelor's degree in multidisciplinary.
