As a final-year university student, I have realised how important it is to take advantage of various networking, internship and vacation opportunities during the breaks in term. I firmly believe in the importance of work-life balance, and after completing my finals I rewarded myself with a well-deserved rest before resuming my routine.

Applications for the 2024 John M. Kerr Memorial Bursary are now open and will close on 30 June 2024. 

Successful applicants are notified in August, and awards are presented during the annual Coronation Ball, a yearly, themed, black-tie event thrown by the Imperial Sovereign Court of the Wild Rose (ISCWR), a non-profit orgnisation supporting the LGBTQ community in Alberta.

The UK is holding a general election on Thursday 4 July 2024. This election allows voters to choose their local Member of Parliament (MP), who will represent their area in the House of Commons. The party with the most MPs will form the government, and its leader will become the country’s prime minister.
