Dilara is a PhD student in laboratory for bone biomechanics at ETH Zurich, Switzerland. She received her undergraduate degree in molecular biology and genetics from Bilkent University, Turkey. She studied how different cancer types rewire their metabolism to adapt to nutrient-deprived environments in the laboratory of David Sabatini at the Whitehead Institute of Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) during her bachelor's thesis. She obtained her master of science degree in regenerative biology and medicine programme from TU Dresden, Germany and did her master's thesis in Leonard Zon's lab at Harvard Stem Cell Institute, investigating clonal dynamics in native and malignant hematopoiesis.
