Karabelo Maloi is currently based at the WMG, University of Warwick, in the UK. As a Chevening Scholar as the university, Karabelo is pursuing an MSc in innovation and entrepreneurship. He hopes to leverage his experience in the UK to provide climate smart technology solutions to agribusinesses in Lesotho and accelerate the wide-scale commercialization of green technology and innovations in his homeland of Africa.
Karabelo graduated from the University of the Free State in South Africa, and holds a bachelor of commerce degree with specialisation in investment management and banking. He is the founder of Qholotsa Youth Organization, which is a youth-led NGO which pioneers community outreach initiatives in the areas of poverty alleviation and education in Lesotho. Karabelo is a One Young World Ambassador, and has recently been recognized among the 25 top social innovators in the Southern African region by Ashoka Africa and the Robert Bosch Foundation.
