Enrollment object: To follow the annual admissions scheme of the University.
Educational process: The curriculum is implemented in accordance with the full-time university educational regulation under the applicable credit system and the applicable High-Quality University Educational Regulation of Ho Chi Minh City Open University.
Graduation conditions: Students are recognized for graduation when they meet the conditions prescribed in the full-time university educational regulation under the applicable credit system and the applicable High-Quality University Educational Regulation of Ho Chi Minh City Open University.
Method for assessment: The curriculum uses scale of 10 to assess courses, equivalent to grades and scale of 4 according to the Regulation on regular undergraduate education under the current credit system of Ho Chi Minh City Open University.
Overview
The curriculum is designed for bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with special field of International Business. After completing this curriculum, students will have knowledge and skills to work as a position of staff or managers in the international business environment such as multi-national companies, foreign trade companies, import-export trading companies, international organizations, foreign representative offices, industrial parks, processing zones, and hi-tech zones in Vietnam
Course details
Knowledge: Students who complete the Business Administration’s curriculum will have the knowledge of Macroeconomics, Microeconomics, Principles of Management, and management of a modern business in global environment. Particularly, the curriculum provides student knowledge of organizing and implementing import- export and logistic activities, planning and implementing the business/marketing strategies to international market, setting up a business plan, monitoring and managing projects of foreign investment in domestic market and investment projects of Vietnam companies in oversea market, solving issues of management in multinational corporations.
Skills: Students undertakes the curriculum will have following skills to finish their duties: Self-study, analysis, team working, data collection and analysis, listening, presenting, discussing and negotiating, planning, controlling and time management skills.
Entry requirements
Graduated from high school abroad, equivalent to high school diploma in Vietnam or International Baccalaureate (IB) from score 26
IELTS ≥ 5.0 or equivalent
International students are native English speakers (of languages used in studying, research, internship) or graduated from universities which languages used in studying that is exempt from language requirements
Career outcomes
After graduation, students can take the careers as follows:
- Career 1: Experts, business assistants, quality control experts; strategic specialist in private companies operating in many sectors. Experts in public sector organizations or advisory committees in various departments. After a period of working, accumulating experience and meeting the law conditions (if any), students can develop their career and become an intermediate manager: group leader, head or deputy head of units (after 3-5 years).
- Career 2: Sales staff, marketing, brand, etc. in organizations (government agencies, non-profit organizations, and social organizations), and enterprises of all industries. Career prospects: To promote to junior manager after 3-5 years (team leader/sales supervisor, marketing, brand), middle level manager after 5-10 years (Chief/sales manager, marketing, brand).
- Career 3: Import-export staff, sales staff collecting retail/whole containers by sea/air at multinational companies, experts in charge of brands of international projects and projects in the global supply chain of businesses. Most of these careers are available to foreign trade forwarders, import-export companies, and international organizations. Career prospects: To promote to be administrator/team leader/head or deputy head of units (after 3-5 years).
