Studying abroad comes with many challenges, and these sometimes include learning a new language. However, many universities around the world offer programmes in English even if the country has another official language.
English-speaking countries such as the UK, the US, Australia and Ireland or countries where English is one of the official languages, such as India, South Africa, Singapore and Canada, teach most of their university programmes in English. For example, French-speaking provinces in Canada such as Quebec and New Brunswick offer programmes in both French and English.
In other areas of the world, one way to study in English is to find an American College in your chosen country. Some options include the American College of Thessaloniki in Greece, the American University of Sharjah in the United Arab Emirates.
However, if you want to study in a country where English isn’t an official language, here is a list of some universities that offer programmes in English.
