BSBI, in partnership with the university for the Creative Arts, offer a three or four-year international route BA (Hons) Animation programme. This degree will introduce you to the fundamentals of the creative industry and teach you key animation skills needed to thrive in your career.

Course details

This programme has a strong focus on group work, giving you the opportunity to network and learn from others, while on-going support is provided via individual and online tutorials. 

The learning and teaching will consist of a variety of methods to suit every student’s needs, including lectures, tutorials, workshops, seminars and study trips. 

There are also different methods of assessment used on this course, including individual and group reports and/or presentations, case studies, essays, portfolio development, reflective journals and experiential work-based activities.

Entry requirements

BA (Hons)

Minimum age: 18 years old
Academic requirements: Completion of at least 12 years of schooling with a school leaving certificate with a pass to pursue higher education in Germany*
For direct entry to Year 1 BA, you are required to submit an online portfolio via our BSBI Applicant Portal. 

*Alternatively, an international baccalaureate, international school leaving certificates, BTEC/national diploma or advanced vocational certificate of education will be accepted. If you do not meet the above academic requirements, applicants with professional qualifications and/or four years of full-time work experience will be considered on an individual basis.

The English language requirements for this programme are:
•    IELTS – minimum OS 6.0 (with min 5.5 in each component) or equivalent result in an English language test. 
•    The English Language Test can be waived, and a Medium of Instruction Letter can also be submitted for those who meet the requirements.
