The master study program of pharmaceutical sciences focuses on developing pharmaceutical sciences to meet the needs of the community in response to challenges and opportunities at the global market, considering the trend in the field of Pharmacy covering various aspects ranging from development of active pharmaceutical ingredients and natural products, pharmaceutical technology, analysis, and industrial pharmacy, cosmetics, biotechnology and biomedical products to pharmaceutical services, policy and management in pharmacies, hospitals, and other health centers.
The Pharmacy study program excels at problem solving by utilizing an inter- and multidisciplinary approach. Our pharmacy study program has gained knowledge through extensive research, allowing us to create work that is both innovative and tested. We have also received national and international recognition for our community research and development management.
The master program of pharmaceutical sciences has developed seven areas of study Interests include Pharmaceutical Analysis, Natural Product Chemistry, Drug Development, Biomedical Pharmacy, Drug Delivery System, Cosmetics, and Pharmacy Policy & Management. Mastery of theoretical concepts and more in-depth skills in each interest are given through 48 compulsory and elective courses over these study interests.
The study load is 38-40 semester credit unit/ SCU (equivalent to 60.8-64.0 ECTS) which consists of 30-32 SCU (equivalent to 48.0-51.2 ECTS) for Courses and 8 SCU, which is equivalent to12.8 ECTS, for Proposal and Thesis.
Applicant should have IPK or GPA ≥ 2.5 with linear scientific fields i.e. Pharmacy, Chemistry, Biology, or Chemical Engineering.
Applicant should also propose pre-proposal plan includes title, introduction (background, problem formulation, research objectives and benefits), literature review, hypothesis, research materials and methods, bibliography, research budget).

Students who are declared to have passed are entitled to an academic title of Master of Pharmaceutical Sciences / Magister Farmasi (M.Farm.).
As of the end of August 2021, the Study Program has graduated 397 alumni who have successful careers as researcher, teacher, manager or leader in educational institutions/universities or institutes, government agencies e.g., Indonesian Food and Drug Administration (BPOM) and Health Ministry, pharmaceutical or cosmetic industries, hospitals, pharmacies, and other institutions.
