Master of Occupational Health and Safety

The Master Program in the Occupational Health and Safety was opened as an effort to improve the welfare of the community, especially the workforce by meeting the need for knowledge in the field of occupational health and safety. It is built based on a decree. Director -General of Higher Education No:853/D/T/2008 and based on BAN -PT Decree No. 0599/LAM - PTKES/AKR/MAG/IX/2017 has been accredited with an A rating 29th of September 2022. This master of occupational health and safety has a dual degree program as a form of effort to achieve the vision and mission of Universitas Airlangga (UNAIR) in the international arena. The Faculty of Public Health (FKM) UNAIR in particular the Occupational Health and Safety (K3) Masters study program has collaborated with Griffith University to hold an international class with the title of a double degree program between Master of Occupational Health and Safety (M.KKK) and Master of Global Public Health (M.GPH) Griffith University

Master Program (S2) Occupational Health and Safety Study Program (K3) is opened based on a decree. DirectorGeneral of Higher Education No:853/D/T/2008 and based on BAN-PT Decree No. 0599/LAMPTKES/AKR/MAG/IX/2017 has been accredited with A rating 29th of September 2022. This master program also has a special joint cooperation with university abroad. The dual degree program is present as a form of effort to achieve the vision and mission of Universitas Airlangga (UNAIR) in the international arena. The Faculty of Public Health (FKM) UNAIR in particular the Occupational Health and Safety (K3) Masters study program has collaborated with Griffith University to hold an international class with the title of a double degree program between Master of Occupational Health and Safety (M.KKK) and Master of Global Public Health (M.GPH) Griffith University. 

Course details

The Master of Occupational Health and Safety Program gas developed two areas of study include industrial hygiene and occupational health and safety management. In -depth elaboration of theoretical also research concepts, added by practical skills in each interest. The study load is 15 -17 semester credit unit/ SCU (equivalent to 20 -24 ECTS) which consists of 46 SCU (equivalent to 61.3 ECTS) for Courses and 8 SCU, which is equivalent to 12.8 ECTS, for Proposal and Thesis. 

Entry requirements

The student must have the following qualifications:

  1. Holding bachelor's degree from various majors (this study can be multi -entry) with the non -linear students (last education not majoring public health bachelors degree or majoring public health bachelor degree but having C accreditation) should follow matriculation activity before attending the course.
  2. Accentuate the students who have health -related scientific papers.

Career outcomes

Students who are declared to have passed the study are having the title of Master of Occupational Health and Safety/Magister Kesehatan dan Keselamatan Kerja (M.KKK).
