This program offers two types, a doctoral program by course and research. Both programs can be completed within a minimum of three years.
For the program by course, a student must complete five compulsory subjects and an election subject. All subjects could be completed during his first year of study (two semesters). The student is also mandatory to submit a dissertation and a paper for publication.
For the program by research, a student is required to submit a dissertation and three papers for publication, but the student does not need to take the courses. The students with outstanding research capability may pursue this program.

Course details
In the first semester, the students must take three compulsory subjects (advanced microeconomics, advanced macroeconomics and advanced econometrics), and in the second semester, the students must take two compulsory subjects (methodology and philosophy of economics) and one election subject (monetary economics and banking; theory and policy of public economics; development economics; trade economics; ecological economics; health economics; urban economics and real estate; tourism economics; logistic economics; energy economics; digital economics; industry economics; agribusiness economics; microfinance and big data).
Students must have proposal and dissertation defences in the third to sixth semester.

An applicant who does not have a master degree in Economics must take three core subjects (Microeconomics, Macroeconomics and Econometrics) as specific requirements
